LAGOS, Nigeria – In December 2022, the Bella Disu Foundation joined forces with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative (LFBI) to deliver a significant outreach program in Makoko, a low-income community of Lagos.
On December 17, 2022, volunteers from both organizations congregated to distribute ‘Boxes of Hope,’ specially curated with food items intended to enhance access to healthy meals for families in the community. Alongside these boxes, beneficiaries also received relief items including clothing, footwear, bags, and toys for children. This initiative marked a significant step towards addressing food insecurity within the Makoko community.
The overwhelming gratitude from the beneficiaries was truly heartening. Their expressions of thanks and prayers for the success of both organizations reflected the profound impact of this outreach, underscoring our commitment to making a difference through the Bella Disu Foundation.
